We restored this Ford Transit Holidaycar lately and invested many hours in bringing back this classic campingcar to it's original glory. Not only we tried to bring it a little bit further than the original seventies brown over brown colorschemes, so we added a pinch of early James Bond style of the Goldfinger era! We overhauled not only the mechanics like engine brakesystem, we also gave it a fresh new two-tone paint and refreshed the whole interior with premium upholstery fabrics for seats, flooring and window covering. Not to forget the necessary motorhome accessories like the fridge, interior lights, 12v inverter and gas cooking system and the four hydraulic struts, received our due attention so that everything was back to perfect order. But let me first give an introduction to this special classic car:
The Ford Transit MKI was already an absolute scoop and pioneering success in the world of delivery vans when it appeared in 1965. It proved to be the most successful delivery van of all time, the Ford Transit immediately set the standard for company cars of its time when it was introduced. It is not for nothing that a British police investigation showed that 95% of the robbers used a Transit to come home from their "work". Fortunately as a holiday traveller you are less in a hurry ...
Shaken not stirred...
After purchasing from the first owner, we have recently restored the Transit MK1 from the inside and outside to its original state, and restored in style! With the use of walnut, chrome and aluminum and the padded cushions and wall finishes.... So when you step into this classic camper..... one enters the world of an early James Bond .... shakes not stirred......
